Introduction

You have learned about proximity sensors. Now, let's learn about photoelectric sensors.

This sensor is a photoelectric retro-reflective sensor. Retroreflective sensors are photoelectric sensors. They consist of an emitter and receiver in a single housing. The light produced by the emitter is reflected back to the receiver with a reflector. Whenever this light beam is obstructed, the output signal of the sensor changes state. The sensors are commonly used one equipment with a subject of interest between the emitter and receiver such that when the subject of interest is present, the sensor changes state.

For this quiz, you will review a datasheet that matches the specifications of the EL4-N2400S02- which is a SICK photoelectric sensor. Please take a look at the datasheet and answer the following questions.

NOTE:

The datasheet isn't for the listed sensor, but it has the same specifications.
